Genius Loci (slough)

Into Slough (a journey up from the plains)

The Slough Trading Estate as an escape into landscape: of hills, scree slopes, stacks and arêtes high up against a flat deep blue. I pass the occasional weary traveller, but mostly I wander alone amongst the cave entrances, abandoned industrial machinery and workers cottages. Looking up, I see the genius loci escaping from a soft grey white to that flat deep blue, whilst back on the ground sites of ritual hold onto their colour whose meaning is all but lost to time.
